Can beauty save the world?
I believe in the power of beauty to heal the human heart and to awaken the world to its Creator.
My name is Kaylor Nordhus and I am a Wichita-based Catholic missionary artist. The three transcendentals - the ultimate desires of man which find their fulfillment in God - are truth, beauty, and goodness, though it is with beauty that we must begin.
Beauty is what has impacted and expanded my heart to come to know God in His goodness and truth.
Beauty, and artists, are both necessary to the life breath of culture.

I believe that beauty is necessary for the growth and flourishing of the human person.
The impact truth and goodness have on the soul is directly influenced by the sensitivity to beauty and its mystery. I aim to embark on a “Mission of Beauty” as a Catholic artist in the building up of the Church.
One, I set out to pursue excellence in my studio practice as an individual artist through the mediums of watercolor, calligraphy, and writing. Secondly, I will gather individuals for bible studies and relational accompaniment, as well as working in local schools to bring about this language of beauty. Through these avenues, I set out to awaken people to their hearts and to their Creator through the lense of beauty.
